In the present essay are being published in a new critical edition two documents of the Greek-Serbian king of Thessaly, John Uros Palaiologos, referring to the priest-monk Neilos, the prior (Protos) in the Skete of Stagoi. The documents certify that Neilos is in possession of the cave of Cyrill, at Mikane and also of the monastery of Theotokos Doupiani in Kastraki. Former researchers, such as Ν. Bees -the first one to study and publish the documents- and Α. Soleviev - V. Mosin, ascribed them to Symeon Uros, father of John, and dated them in the years 1358 and 1357 accordingly. Furthermore, the documents were considered to be copies. Ιn this recent edition it is being proved that they are original, attributed to John Uros Palaiologos and dated both in November 1372.
