Spanos Vasillis Dr., Eight destroyed sttelments around Kalambaka
The author presents eight destroyed settlements around Kalambaka. They are: Jakovon, Davia - Daniani, Dristianos, Osmanion, Roxiori, Riglavo, Tzertzi and Trifunista. For each of them, the writer has made an entry containing all the available information, using the sources (published and unpublished) and the bibliography. The writer establishes the date of appearance, establishment and dissolution, the place and presents all that pertains to each of these settlements. At the end, the author draws conclusions about the time of establishment and break-up. All of them are very old (the older one is mentioned for the first time in 1332 and the younger one in 1613/1614f), while most of them were founded at the end of the 18th century/beginning of the 19th century. Three of them were reoccupied and finally abandoned in the 1880s.
